Perfected in a CLIA laboratory to increase throughput, reduce costs and eliminate uneven cell transfer, the QuickPrep Monolayer Cytology System allows your lab the flexibility to  process any liquid-based cytology specimens that the lab receives in three simple steps - concentration, resuspension and drop. Since concentration and resuspension are often required for current lab processes, our drop method is faster for greater throughput while eliminating  the need for expensive filters or proprietary processing equipment. For labs performing large numbers of urine cytology paired with FISH we can additionally  save you between $10 and $30 a specimen.

Quickprep can be used to process any liquid based cytology specimens including Pap smears (cervical brushings), urines, fine needle aspirates, brushings, washings, body fluids, and mucoid specimens. Any additional specimen can be stored, and new slides can be created with no additional processing.

The QuickPrep System allows you to receive samples in any fixative, centrifuge the fixed specimen, resuspend it in C.Drop (our proprietary Cell Suspension  Solution) and drop it onto the slide. It's that simple.

Start by Collecting specimens in the appropriate fixative according to industry standards. Good fixation leads to great slides! We provide leading fixative solutions at competitive prices.

C.Fix, Lysing Cytology Fixative ideal for bloody or mucoid specimens.

G.Fix, General Cytology Fixative, ideal for brushings and GYN protocols requiring additional Genetic testing.

U.Fix, Buffered Urine Cytology Fixative.

Concentrate specimens:

A. Vortex the specimen for 5 seconds.

B. Transfer appropriate amount of specimen to centrifuge tube.

C. Centrifuge specimen at  ≈900G for at least 5 minutes.

D. Pour off supernatant.

Resuspend specimen in C.Drop.

A. Add C.Drop to the cell pellet. See dilution instructions  to create the appropriate cell concentration.

B. Vortex to resuspend evenly

C. Drop onto slide

C.Drop is our unique cell suspension solution that creates a monolayer of cells. C.Drop allows for clusters of cells to be visualized through a 3-D plane without any distortion and because the cells are encapsulated in the C.Drop, everything that goes on the slide stays on the slide. No selective loss or cross contamination during staining.

Once the C.Drop has dried the slides are ready to stain using current lab protocols. Dried slides can also be stored indefinitely.

Though the QuickPrep system delivers a value for your regular cytology, for the large to medium urology lab it provides exceptional value with improved results and reduced reagent costs for FISH between $10-$30.00 per specimen overall, depending on current processes. Additionally QuickPrep reduces instances of FISH insufficiency by 60%.

Currently QuickPrep has been used in some of the largest POL Urology groups in NY, FL and NJ and the urine cytologies have been read by 100s of pathologists over the last decade.

When paired with our Fixatives, Glass slides and stains we can provide you with highly scalable Thin-layer preparation at lower reagent and labor costs,  without any proprietary equipment.
